CoGro- or No Go?

Today, I decided to branch away from the library and head to a more casual setting. I was hungry after class which helped me determine my place of study, the Common Ground Coffee House, or as everyone likes to call it, "CoGro," which I find is much catchier and easier to say.

I ordered a cheddar bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese with a strawberry sunset smoothie to drink. They are both delicious, and it seems there are quality ingredients used. Being in the Queen's Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC), it is frequently busy with all different kinds of noises surrounding you, which is not exactly the best atmosphere to get work done. Luckily, I brought my headphones and played my Lo-fi music playlist which helped me get into my study mode.

Although I had my headphones in to drown out the noise, I still found myself distracted by all the movement around me, making it hard for me to focus on my work. There is free Wi-Fi for all Queen's students that requires a net ID to access. Unfortunately, the interior design does not suit a café vibe as the recreation centre gets in the way of that lovely aesthetic of a traditional café. It was not my ideal study space, as constant commotion around me hindered my ability to complete my work. Unfortunately, this was not a successful study session, and I would not choose to come here to study.
