Yes, the one with the Harry Potter room.

After my morning classes today, I chose a different type of scenery than what I am familiar with. The Douglas library is not a very common place for me to study, but I believe after today, this will change. This library is not very large, but it has a unique design and structure that gives people a “Harry potter” or a “Hogwarts” type of vibe. There is a “Harry Potter Room” on the third floor of the library, where I chose to do my work. I believe the Harry Potter vibes are one of the main reasons that the general student population commonly enjoys this library. However, with a highly populated library, it was easy to focus and get work done. From the clean solid wood tables, chairs, and bookshelves to the stained-glass windows and ceiling patterns, I love everything about the interior look! This automatically put me in a good mindset as it felt like I was preparing to study in the Harry Potter world. The spacious desks gave me sufficient room for my notes, Laptop, and tablet while allowing me to work comfortably and not feel bunched up with my things on the desk. Free Wi-Fi was offered only to those with a Queensu NetID, as you needed to log in with your NetID to access the Internet. Unfortunately, I did not spot any cafes, which was one of the reasons I cut my study session short. I got hungry, which hindered my focus, so I went home to make myself a meal. Although this library is one of my new favourite places to study, I would only choose to come here between classes or when I only need to get small amounts of work done, as I usually need something to snack on here and there when doing work. Overall, the Douglas Library is a great place to get work done, with an amazing atmosphere right in the heart of Queen’s campus.
