Juniper Cafe

The best place to study in the warmer months

The choice for my study location today after my classes was Juniper Café. I was looking to grab a bite to eat before I started working, which helped with my decision-making process. Unfortunately, the café does not provide free Wi-Fi, but I could still do work as I did not need internet for my work at that moment.

FOOD

Juniper Café has a variety of choices on its menu, such as cold and warm drinks, sandwiches, salads, and soups, including daily specials. I chose to eat the warm cheddar & bacon sandwich, which was delicious! The ingredients were high-quality, and it was overall a 9/10 sandwich.

ATMOSPHERE

The café has a grand interior aesthetic with an earlier 21st-century look except modernized. I enjoyed the look inside the café, which radiated a calming vibe that gave me the impression that it was a worthy study space. Juniper Café is located on the water of Lake Ontario, which influenced me to take my study session outside and enjoy nature. Fortunately for me, it was warm enough to do schoolwork outside comfortably. I arrived at Juniper Café around 5:30, when it was not too crowded. This helped amplify the tranquil sounds of nature around me and put me in a good headspace to have a successful study session.

OVERALL RANKING: 7.5/10

Although this is a great place to study, I would only come here when it's warm enough to eat and study outside without irritation from the weather. It is also a bit out of the way from main campus, so I do not choose to regularly study here and make it a once-a-month thing with the company of some friends. In all, this is a great place to study if you are working without the need to use the internet; thus, I would not choose to go here too often.
